A great technique I learned growing up to get rid of puffiness was to rub an ice cube on my face. I know… it sounds kind of crazy and something you would never try. But this technique is actually a treatment, known as cryotherapy, that many doctors use to hydrate the skin by exposing it to cold temperatures for a couple of minutes. Celebrities like Kate Hudson, Dua Lipa, Kate Moss use ice cubes on their skin to calm down inflammation.
Easy as taking an ice cube and rubbing it around your face/neck or using trending gadgets like the jade roller/facial globes that are kept cold.
When we exfoliate, cleanse, and moisturize we are prepping our skin for the perfect/easier makeup application. Adding skincare products before will make your makeup glide on smoother, stay on longer, and give you a more radiant & glowing look.
Our Jojoba Oil is a fantastic product to add to your pre-makeup prep. Jojoba works as a cleanser by extracting dirt and other oils from under your skin. Simple and effective… add a few drops onto your face and then rinse off with water after a couple of minutes.
Less is more… find products that match your skin tone and use a minimal amount. The most important step in getting that natural “no-makeup” look is by finding a foundation and concealer that matches the color of your skin. Personally, I find that using a tinted moisturizer as my base gives me a more glowy look than a full-coverage foundation.
Who isn’t obsessed with blush? We all love having pink rosy cheeks that make our complexation more youthful. But we have to know when enough is enough… stick with rosy shades that match your natural flush to achieve that minimalist look. You can even try pinching your cheeks for a natural pop of color instead of using a blush product!
This step by far is the most part of your makeup routine. Removing your makeup cleanses your skin by washing away all the cosmetics, removing dirt on the surface of your skin, and prevents irritation and breakouts. Almond Oil is the way to go for a natural makeup remover. Yes… while the makeup remover wipes, we typically use, do the job of removing makeup- they are full of harsh chemicals that damage our skin.
Almond oil easily removes makeup, while still being gentle enough to hydrate and nourish the skin. Put some almond oil onto your palm, massage the oil onto your face/eyes, then dip a cotton ball or a cloth in some water and gently remove your makeup!
